Discussion Panel on "The Effects of Kelo v. City of New London in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Necessity of Legislative Reform"
June 15, 2007
Joseph T. Waldo, of Waldo & Lyle, P.C., will be a panelist, along with Delegate Terrie L. Suit, who represents parts of Virginia Beach and Chesapeake, and Steven Anderson, of the Institute for Justice, at the Virginia Bar Association Young Lawyers Conference during the Virginia State Bar’s 2007 Annual Meeting in Virginia Beach.
The panel will discuss and consider “The Effects of Kelo v. City of New London in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Necessity of Legislative Reform.” As the only panelist engaged exclusively in the practice of eminent domain law, Mr. Waldo will bring a unique “from the trenches” viewpoint to the panel and will educate the audience as to the impact the recently passed HB2954 will have on securing private property in the Commonwealth.
