Yarmouth House Yarmouth House Tour

Completely renovated in 2000, the Yarmouth House is the home of the Law Firm of Waldo & Lyle.

Yarmouth House was the second brick structure built after the Civil War in Norfolk's Freemason Historic District. The two-story, gable-roof house is one of Norfolk's oldest examples of Italianate architecture. Laid out just after the American Revolution, Freemason's diverse and distinctive architecture and cobblestone streets dating to the early 1800's distinguish the district as the only early residential streetscape in the City of Norfolk. Yarmouth House has been home to many Norfolk families since its first owners, Mary E. and Charles W. Buttz.
